With the financial support of our partners from the business, government and academic sectors, we offer a limited number of scholarships every year leading to the award of a Master's degree in areas related to leadership, with a special focus on Africa. In addition to our basic eligibility criteria and other funding-related requirements, applicants must meet the admission requirements of the host institution. This is a highly competitive program open to outstanding applicants.
Candidates selected for this scholarship typically display an extraordinary capacity for innovative and practical leadership, originality of thought and impressive academic intellect. During their studies, scholars are given a host of leadership opportunities with our organization and are able to pursue a LeadNext internship if they have not previously completed one.
As part of the requirements for their scholarship, an AfricaNext Scholar will be expected to produce at least one peer-reviewed research publication and a high-quality thesis in their selected area of study. Copies of the work done by our scholars will be housed in our library.
